CALL US < Back Additional Facilities Mar 13, 2018 DOTI has begun the moving process to new facilities! DOTI announces that it has leased a new facility to be used as our Interim Staging and Warehouse Site. This will be our marshalling area for large components going into Assembly. This facility will be used while we complete negotiations and construction of a Permanent Facility to house Customer Final Acceptance & Test. The addition of these two facilities will double DOTI’s working footprint to just over 34000 sq ft. Once the new facility is constructed, DOTI will retain the interim property as a Logistical Staging Site for Major Components and Products. DOTI is adding Professional and Skilled Production Positions in tandem with these Facilities Enhancements. DOTI will be making announcements about new Equipment and Processes in 2018. - PERMA | Displays & Optical Technologies, Inc.
Performance Enhanced Replacements for Mylar Applications (PERMA®) PERMA® MIRRORS CONTACT A SALES ASSOCIATE Performance Enhanced Replacements for Mylar Applications Displays & Optical Technologies, Inc. has been developing and refining its PERMA® process to satisfy our customers’ need for an accurate and light weight solution for glass first surface mirrors that will replace Mylar reflectors. Recent advancements in the technology of both the projection and screen industries have fostered a need to produce a highly accurate mirror that will better utilize the full potential of these systems. Since 2008, DOTI has been supplying highly accurate glass mirrors as a better, longer lived, more rigid and higher reflectivity solution to the fold mirror need. DOTI has developed a proprietary backing, mounting and holding process that provides our customer with a mirror assembly that is not only light weight and stable, but is far flatter both locally and globally than any other lightweight mirrors available. Typical weight for our standard mirror assemblies are approximately 3.4 pounds per square foot using a 1/8” glass first surface mirror with an overall combined assembly thickness of about 1.06”. Product Applications PERMA® mirrors are highly customizable to suit the needs of our customers. To accommodate any application, we offer customization of mirror grade, thickness, coating, surface accuracy, reflectivity, durability, AoI optimization, backer/mirror size, shape, mounting points, etc. Additional options for finish, marking, and crating are available. Fold Mirrors Projection Faceted Systems Simulation Scientific Entertainment ExPres PERMA® Mirrors DOTI offers an upgraded version of our PERMA® line of mirrors for applications that demand hyper-flatness and surface smoothness for high resolution and high brightness projection displays. This PERMA® line is optically ground and polished to eliminate all the micro-ripples that are present in all float glass (due to the manufacturing process). DOTI is able to grind and polish this material to a true optical-quality surface. We offer a PERMA® mirror that has a flatness deviation of a fraction of a wave per inch compared to commercial and selected float glass with an average of 3-6 waves of deviation. The surfaces also have a smoothness that has previously only been available on precision optical products. This becomes increasingly valuable as display systems increase in brightness, resolution, and size. Using ExPres PERMA® mirrors, our customers can better utilize the full potential of the newest high end projectors and screens available. How can we serve you? CONTACT US

- Mirrors and Lasers in Astroparticle Phys | Displays & Optical Technologies, Inc.
Providing our customers with the highest quality components available, DOTI manufactures optics to meet the most advanced specifications and performance in the industry. Mirrors and Lasers in Astroparticle Physics Infrastructures 2nd ASPERA Technology Forum 20-21 October 2011 - EGO/Virgo Site (Cascina), Pisa BACK From Forward : "To some extent, Astroparticle Physics (ApP) can be considered as the science of rare events, arising in some cases from the most violent phenomena in the Universe, happening fortunately far away! Nonetheless, detecting such weak signals and understanding their nature / origin are of paramount importance in our understanding of the fundamental laws governing the Universe. Identifying rare and weak signals requires imagining appropriate experiments and then going from conceptual design to the realisation of sophisticated and large size facilities with technical performances often beyond the exciting technological abilities. Accordingly, to constitute the indispensable large spectrum of expertise, close collaboration / cooperation between academia and industry is a must. ASPERA, a European ERA-Net project started within FP6 (2006 – 2009) and being continued in FP7 (2009 – 2012), has been developing an ambitious approach for i) facilitating the creation of large enough collaborations in ApP in Europe, ii) strengthening / creating bridges between public research institutions and companies, especially via the organisation of Technological Forums. The present event is focused on lasers and mirrors. Actually, new generation of facilities for the detection of Gravitational Waves (GW) and (very) high energy gamma rays (HEGR) are in R&D phases. The first topic deals with one of the most fascinating predictions of the General Relativity, going back to 1916 and still undiscovered! Detectable signals are expected resulting from merging / collision between black holes, binary neutron stars… The third generation interferometic detectors is planned to be constructed underground and use cryogenics technology, with unprecedented requirements on the characteristics and performances of lasers and mirrors. The realm covered by the second topic spans phenomena due to supernovae, pulsars, merging galaxies… Hunting rare events requires a very high selectivity and hence minimised background. The Cherenkov Telescope Array project anticipates various sized telescopes in order to pin down the sources of the HEGR and uncover the mysteries of underlying mechanisms. Here also, the required characteristics and performances go far beyond the state-of-the-art in the ground-based telescopes. In summary, the ApP community needs to impulse highly challenging R&D in optics, lasers and mirrors. Innovations in all those areas will certainly also allow companies to apply the gained expertise in other fields at the heart of social needs and concerns: energy, environment, health…" Connect with us!
