LIGHTWEIGHT MIRROR SUBSTRATES
This is a lightweight 42" diameter cast Borosilicate mirror (RIGHT) with 6.375"
edge thickness (ET). Substrate is ground and polished, ready for coating, for a
private telescope application.
This is a lightweight mirror (LEFT) using a lightweight core material bonded with
a thin glass face sheet. The face sheet is ground and polished to produce a highly
accurate and repeatable surface. Used in a technical application, DOTI is the
only company currently able to manufacture these massive mirrors and maintain
the quality, flatness, price, and delivery required by the industry in which it is
used.
